If you put a saddle on a pig, you can ride it, most people know this but i thought i should put it out there! But if you combine 3 sticks and 2 pieces of string you can make a Fishing Rod. But if you combine a Fishing Rod and a carrot you get a Carrot On A Stick!
Now if you get on the pig and hold the Carrot on a Stick the pig will walk in the direction that the COS (carrot on a stick) is pointing. After a couple seconds or so the pig will take a bite of the carrot, that will wear the COS out eventually. The pigs don't walk very fast, but if you hold the COS and right click, that will give the pig a boost (i'm not for sure this works on console edition, but a friend told me about it and i haven't had time to test it). The boost last for about 34 seconds.
When i travel by pig i take multiple COS. I recommend it to you to because what happens if you are halfway to your destination and your COS breaks? Well that's why i'm recommending bringing multiple COS.
Pigs can also climb stairs and slabs. I hope i helped!

Post offices
Ok, so my brother hates survival so i have been trying to find ways to get him to play! Well i finally did! I just built 3 "post offices" they go to most of my buildings and its an underground railroad system. I built the first on in between his mansion and the "store", so then i made railroads to all the buildings around, even the other locations. Then i told him what i did, and so now we play survival all the time! But when he needs food and doesn't want to walk to my house for baked potatoes and mushroom soup, i just ride my pig to the post office and i send him food! But of course you could use your "post offices" for any deliveries!
Trip wire hook
In the latest update there are tripwire hooks. To craft this item you need Iron Ingot, Stick, and Jungle Wood Planks. To connect two tripwire hooks you need string and go from one hook to the other. Mobs and yourself will trigger the tripwire. If you put a dispenser on top of the hooks or on top of a block on the side and fill the dispenser with arrows, whenever a mob walks over it. Well they get an arrow to the face! Sorry i haven't been on for awhile, but because i haven,t i am going to start doing one of my favorite songs at the bottom:)

Taming Wolves and Ocelots
To tame a wolf you will need 1-12 bones to tame a wolf. I usually find wolves in snowy areas or areas with trees, but they could be anywhere. Once you find a wolf get the bones in your hand and left click them (build button). You will most likely need to keep left clicking the wolf until red hearts appear for a brief second and a red collar appear around the wolves neck. Now the wolf will follow you unless you make it sit. To make the wolf sit you will need to left click on the wolf.
To tame an Ocelot you will need 2-5 raw fish but can take up to 20. You will need to have the raw fish in your hand and can either very slowly start walking up to it and left click it (rarely works) or get raw fish and stand by an Ocelot, once the Ocelot sees you are not threatening and you have raw fish in you hand it will creep up to you and you will have to slowly adjust your angle to its on the Ocelots body, then click the ocelot repetitively with the left trigger. Once the ocelot is tamed it will change its skin to 1 of 3 types. It will follow you until you make it sit, it will also ward off creepers!
